Gary wasn't use to going into police stations on purpose and to tell you the truth he was easily intimidated when he was in. Back down south the only time he entered one was by force after he was arrested for doing something bad. The very last time he entered one he ended up in a juvenile detention center and although that police station looked completely different from this one, he still felt freaked out walking into one that had police in uniforms all around him. Sometimes he felt like putting his hands in the air and surrendering to nothing but only controlled those thoughts in his head.
When he told who he was at the front desk he was lead to a waiting room with other people sitting around as well near a series of offices. He couldn't help but to notice the person he sat beside had his legs cuffed to the chair that was bolted into the wall. He remained quite in his seat, still nervous of walking into a place like this. Giving the guy a cold stare the guy noticed this and looked over at Gary with another cold stare, asking 'what he was looking at'. Gary rolled his eyes and looked back at the cuffed man. "Asshole."
What he said there seemed to make the man angry as the man suddenly lunged forward at Gary with his cuffed hands in a fist and hit Gary in the head. The worst part of the hit was the edge of the metal cuff around his wrist just above Gary's eye hard. Falling back out of his seat Gary jumped up again and kicked the guy in the face. By this point people had noticed their scuffle and officers came to hold them both back. It took three full officers to fully constrain Gary back. As he continued to put up resistance one cuffed him to a pole beside a wall where he remained.
Seeing himself constrained like that put a lot of emotion into Gary, it had been a while since he last found himself in this state and his heart just sank when he was reminded of it. Almost like he was going to cry Gary wined to the police officer with a pleading look. "I just came to see my brother, please just let me leave." He then tugged at wrist his cuff was around as if to pull it off but was not successful.

Jude had had a long and tiring day. He made a couple drug busts but that was about it. It was the trying to catch them part that he hated. Sure he was fit, he just wished that they'd just stay there and be like 'yes, I did wrong, take me in' but they rarely gave in that easily. Or ever, as far as he knew. The drugs made them act different, made them stronger, made them faster. He leaned back in his chair and propped his feet up on his desk. Closing his eyes, he rested for a few minutes, inhaling the scent of the coffee.
He realized that this was one of his last days on day shift. He'd soon be working nights for a little bit. It'd probably be more fun, but also it'd stink cause he'd spend less time with his little brother. He heard a ruckus out in the lobby near his shared office and went out to investigate, and to see if they needed any help. He saw his little brother Gary out there and gave a smirk. He wondered how long it'd take him to get into trouble here. He didn't like the trouble that he got in back home, but they'd joke about it sometimes.
Jude walked up to the police officer who just cuffed his brother to a pole and put a hand on his shoulder. "Spencer, I got him, don't worry." He took a key from the cop and undid the cuffs on his brother. He led Gary to his office and shut the door behind him. He went behind his desk and pulled out a little first aid kit. Pulling some gauze and medical tape and an alcohol pad. He took each thing out it's package, not once looking up. "It looks like you got a bit beat up out there, Gar," He said handing his brother the little alcohol pad and pulled a mirror out of the bottom drawer of his desk.

When his brother came by he looked at his brothers face for some sort of expression. He expected a face of disappointment from Jude, some sort of scowling for getting into trouble of all places here so quickly, but wasn't all that surprised to see a smirk go on his face instead. It wasn't quite a face that he was proud of him and Gary could tell that, it was more of a face that smirked at the fact that he should expect nothing less from Gary which still made Gary feel a little proud that he held up his expectations for his brother. As Jude came by to uncuff Gary he said nothing as he felt his wrists go free and he rubbed his skin that was against it before.
Suddenly Jude started to walk a direction and he followed curiously, looking around at his new surroundings with shifty eyes. He was clearly still nervous about this entire place and almost getting arrested there after only being here a couple of minutes didn't help the situation. He didn't realize that the punch where the edge of the cuff that hit right below his eyebrow was starting to bleed and officers walking by gave him an interesting confused look, which Gary gave a cold stare in return. When they got into his office and shut the door behind him Gary's timid attitude changed into excitement when he saw the office his brother had. "You get this entire place to yourself? This is bigger then the big group cell at Scottsville." It wasn't that big of a cell if it was mostly guys like Gary constantly frequenting them.
When Jude suddenly mentioned out he got beat up Gary turned his head to snap back at his brother. "I woulda kicked his fuckin' ass if I was given the chance." As he was handed the mirror and other things he took a look in the mirror and was surprised to see himself bleeding just above the eye. "Ah shit." Taking the gaz and everything else he started to clean himself off. He didn't even wince in pain from the alcohol applied to the cut, he had obviously done this enough times to know what to do himself. Most of his strong aggression he was showing in the past couple of years came with his age and it could be heard in his voice. Some guys like him at that age had trouble trying to adjust to society and so things easily frustrated him.

Jude chuckled. "I have share with a newbie to the force, but yeah, it is bigger than the one in Scottsville." He leaned back and gave a small chuckle. Just about everything was bigger than Scottsville. Their hometown was a little bigger than a speck of dust. The only reason it was alive in the first place were the three factories that were there, and that it was home to the original Dollar General Store.
Raising his eyebrows, Jude gave another chuckle and leaned forward looking at his brother. "I'm sure you would have, which is why it's prolly best you two got separated." He watched Gary for a little bit while he cleaned himself up. Eventually leaning back, Jude propped his feet back up on his desk and resumed the position that he was in before the scuffle. "What brings you here to visit me?" He asked after a long and somewhat akward silence.

Gary didn't have some mission when he came here to visit his brother. He just knew the guy was at the station and that he wanted to visit him to see where he worked and what he did as he knew absolutely no details. Still when asked why he came he didn't want to come up with a lame excuse like the one he had so instead switched the topic to something that happened to him today as if he came here to talk about that. "I know it's been less then a week but I don't think I like my new school. Nobody likes the new kid and the teachers are all jerks. One threatened me with detention for the most trivial things. I don't know if I can do it."
He then looked up at Jude with sorrow eyes, sort of expecting Jude to get mad at him instead. Even still Jude knew that Gary wasn't great at making friends yet at the same time depended on them to keep himself going. If he couldn't make any new friends in the new place he was lost and it would take some time for him to finally get some friends he could share a few things in common with. "I can't wait to finally graduate and go join the marines like you did. It'll be so much easier then this place." Not psychically easier but being told what to do, constantly working out, making friends by simply being there with others doing the same thing every day, the whole process seemed to be glorified to him.

Jude rubbed his chin a bit while his brother explained his reason for coming. Sitting up, he gathered the trash from the first aid stuff and threw them away. He thought a while before responding. He knew how Gary was about befriending people, which was the complete opposite of Jude. He sat back and gave his brother a soft stare. "That's the school, for you. Most teachers will be, they want to be intimidating. The kids just don't see how great of a kid you really are. You can do it, I know you can. You just have a few more months left, Gary, then summer, then your senior year."
He chuckled at his brother's comment about the Marines. If only he knew how much he had to devote to any branch in the military, but especially the Marines. "The Marines is a great thing to decide to do, Gary, but you've gotta get through high school to be somewhat ready for it." He said, wondering if that was actually true. He tried to say the right things to his little brother to make him feel better and to encourage him. They were all they had for each other up here. Thier parents still lived in Kentucky, and that was probably best because of their father's situation.

He had heard of all those inspirational quotes before about staying in high school and now when he heard them they just came off corny. He wasn't thinking of dropping out, in fact quite opposite as he was expelled from all Kentucky public schools so he came all the way to New York in order to finish his GED, him of all people in the school knew the very importance in completely high school. He just didn't know if it was possible. He wasn't a terrible kid, sure he had trouble with the law and threw a few fists now and then but he was also very intelligent, book smart, and he studied as well to help get his marks up. Still through all of that a lot held him down like weight. "Yeah yeah, I know it's important to finish high school. I'm just having a lot of trouble that's all. I thought I'd come see you at work since I never get to see you. You're always constantly working this new job. I guess somebody has to get out there and give us all speeding tickets." He wasn't completely sure that was all Jude did, in fact he doubt Jude had little to do with that considering his skill, but like the brother he was Gary was teasing him about his job.
"Friends wasn't easy to make in the small town so in a big city it's even tougher, I understand that. It's just... I'm lonely you know? I never even had a girlfriend and I guess I just have a lot of time on my hands." That was clear when of all things to do after school Gary would come talk to his police brother about his problems on the job.

Jude listened, not looking at his brother. For some reason he felt the need to look at the desk. Even though he was listening intently, he noticed several imperfections on his desk. He understood every word to a point. He didn't have the same difficulties as Gary, and they both knew it. Sometimes Jude wished they could switch places so that Gary would have had a better high school career. Hearing the speeding ticket comment, Jude smirked. "Speeding tickets are for rookies.. I guess I got the fun stuff today," He said getting up and getting a small styrofoam cup of coffee. "I made a couple drug busts today. One involved kids.." He turned around and leaned on the mini counter and took a sip of the black coffee. He hated his job when it involved kids. It made him seem so low sometimes, depending on what he had to do.
Taking a big gulp, he tried to talk at the same time. "N-now, a small town is different, Gar, cause everyone knows everyone, and that makes things harder cause you could let one rip, even if its just a little one, and the whole town knows it within five minutes and it'd seem like you let one that caused an earthquake," He smirked at the memory of one of his buddies letting a really big one in their history class and it was so bad that part of the hallway stunk for hours. He walked back to his seat and sat down, wondering what to say next. "I know the lonely feeling sometimes.. belive me.. being in Iraq sucked cause I didn't have anything except testosterone to bond with.. But it all turns out right in the end. If you want to waste time, you could possibly go on a couple calls with me so we can have our 'brotherly bonding time,'" Jude did the little quotation thing at the bonding time part. He grinned. It'd be pretty fun, yet dangerous at the same time, to take his brother. It'd prolly just be a simple one, like speeding tickets or something like that. Jude would wait a while till he brought Gary to the big stuff.

As soon as Jude suggested that he tagged along with him along on his cruise today Gary jumped up from the seat he was sitting in with excitment. He ran over towards the desk Jude was sitting in and was gitty like a little school girl. "You mean you can do that?" This excited him a lot, especially after Jude just said his job wasn't simply handing out speeding tickets all day. If part of his regular job was busting kids for drugs in the morning who knows what excitement would come up in the afternoon. "Just take me along to you're mop shootouts or arresting a top CEO in front of all the media? Are you kidding? I would LOVE that!" That meant that his answer would be yes quite obviously.
If he knew that he could do this in the past, tag along his brothers job, he would have done it all the time possible. He didn't know how any of it made sense but there were a lot of things he didn't quite understand but he hoped that he would get a gun and Kevlar vest out of the situation. If Jude didn't want him to do this every day with him now, or ask him to do it, he was now going to have to find something else to distract him later.

Jude grinned at his brother's reaction and gave a smug shrug. "I can. They said that we can sometimes" he over emphasized the word "bring someone along with us. Just not all the time." Jude was really considering taking Gary out to dinner when he got a phone call. He raised one finger to his brother and answered. "Grant... Yeah... Sure, if you think that's best. Okay. Hey, is it okay if I bring someone? My little brother. Yeah, he's over sixteen. Kay. 10-4." He looked at his brother and gave a grin. "C'mon lil bro, time for you to see what I really do. He unlocked the bottom drawer of his desk and pulled out his Smith & Wesson handgun, put a mag in it and put it in the holster on his side. He grabbed two magazines and put them in a pouch on his belt. Kicking the drawer shut, he grabbed a jacket even though he didn't think it was too cold and motioned for his brother to come with, grabbing his radio off the charger on teh way out of the door.

When Gary heard the phone ring he knew it would be incoming orders for some sort of mission Jude had to go on. He hoped badly that it had to do with guns and somebody shooting them, if he was lucky enough he'd even get to see a dead body. He was like a geek when it came to these sort of things. When Jude hung up and mentioned over to Gary, Gary returned the gesture with a nod of the head that was serious and determined. When Jude suddenly took out the gun from his desk Gary jumped up in the air with excitement. "Holy shit dude, a Smith and Wesson. Do I get one of those?"
Jude didn't seem the answer as they went towards the door. When Jude grabbed the radio he pointed at that as well, finding that just as nifty. "How 'bout one of those?" He wanted some special toy for the mission, especially a tazer, but doubted they'd trust him with anything.

Jude grinned. "You won't today. But when you turn 21 and legal to carry a pistol, I'll take you to get one. And you'll get a radio of your own if you join the PD.. but today if I have to leave you in the car, I'll leave mine with you. Just don't go on air saying stuff cause you could cause crap." He gave a wink and headed out the the street. The sun shined bright in his eyes and he got into the car and started it, waiting on directions as to where to go.
[ooc: what do we do now?! haha]

(i donno, you're the one controlling the rp)
When Jude tried to excite him by saying he'd leave his gun with him if he ever had to leave Gary in the car instead of being joyful Gary frowned. He was still very hyper though as he started to run forward of Jude and then ran back, clearly pumped about what they were going to get into, even if he had to stay in the car. "Ah common, what do ya mean stay in the car? What if there's a shootout going on and you need me as a backup kung-fu fighter if you have to fight somebody in as Japanese samurai restaurant." Okay so the majority of what he learned about the big city came from Jackie Chan movies but at least he had the passion, even if he still had a lot to learn.
Gary got into the other side of the front seat with Jude, putting on a pair of sunglasses to look cool as he looked forward, like he was part of the cast of Bad Boys, ready to cause some trouble.
