Jack Edward Flannigan
When you see a man and he's standing alone,
well you might just take him for an easy mark.
And there's many a man who tried his hand
and there's worse than wolves in the borderland dark.
When you see a man and he's standing alone,
well you might just take him for an easy mark.
And there's many a man who tried his hand
and there's worse than wolves in the borderland dark.

Fears : See New York completely lawless one day, the death of one of his daughters, dying on the job
Goals: Rid New York of all those little shits who think they can break the law and trying to be a good father at the same time
Overall Personality: Jack is a good man in general when he's not on duty. But once he's on the job he becomes a machine, and does things his own way. He's not afraid to rough up a suspect in custody, nor is he afraid to get violent with people if he wants answers. His superiors know this, but they don't do anything about it. They're usually too busy trying to keep IA of Jack's back. Why? Because Jack gets the job done, and in a city like New York that's all that matters.

Overall History: Jack is a native to Brooklyn, and was brought up there his entire life. His parents were catholic Irish immigrants and Jack grew up with conservative morals, values and Irish traditions.
He went to Brooklyn High himself, but back in his day it wasn't the decayed mess that it is now. Jack saw the decay of Brooklyn happening in front of his eyes with gangs, drugdealers, thieves and whores filling the streets.
Rather than to sit by idly Jack became a cop right out of high school, determined to make Brooklyn a better place again, just like it was in his day. He became a detective after only serving two years on the streets in uniform, making him one of the youngest detectives in the precinct.
However, Jack soon learned that making Brooklyn a better place wasn't going to be that easy. If he wanted to uphold the law, he didn't have to break it, but bend it. He knew that if he would do things by the book, there would hardly be any results, and guys he busted would be back on the streets in no time.
Instead, Jack developed his own style, his way to uphold the law: roughing up suspects, getting violent with them, forging evidence or planting it, Jack isn't afraid at all of doing these things if it means the bad guys are going away for a long time.
A few years ago, Jack caught a rapist, but due to lack of evidence, the man went free which angered Jack greatly. A few weeks later, the rapist was found dead in his apartment. It is speculated that Jack was the one who killed him, although there was no evidence to support it, and IA had no case against Jack.
