Overall Personality:
Rich is an interesting character because he’s treated like a celebrity but doesn’t let it go to his head, in fact almost opposite. He sees people look at him differently from others. Most people look at him expressing either jealously thinking that he’s going to become a superstar and sucking up to him would befriend him or just disgust thinking that he’s either a bad role model or a snob because of the position he is in, even if they don’t know a thing about him. He wishes that people would just treat him like he sees how friends treat each other and so he makes friends by the ones that just treat him normally with respect, which he’d give in return. He is on a search for a true friend that he could trust but currently his best friend is his dog because everyone seems to want to use him and he thinks himself as useless.
A timid character for such a celebrity, he’s never good at meeting new people. Other then the fact that he’s bad with names he seems to always get a shyness come over him when he meets somebody new and it takes a few conversations for him to warm up to them. Still he’s a very kind and caring guy so people still easily trust him. Sometimes he can be randomly creative and he loves to play the piano, but few know about it as his mother discourages it and so he doesn’t own one at home.
He’s still young and learning a lot about life which means that if the people approach him right they could be a bit influence on him, perhaps one of the reasons football enthusiasts are after him right now. He’s had no father but grown up in a mostly normal childhood still. His mother is strict and a little crazy while trying to act as his manager but he’s learned to deal with it.
He’s no Einstein but he’s not a ‘typical dumb jock’ either. Writing, languages and math aren’t easy for him but he’s surprisingly good at sciences and he’s trying hard at school. A lot of his friends started to look more towards gangs then school and he generally stopped knowing them after he got to busy with football. By this time he’s not close to a snob and doesn’t get angry at any of the gangs presence in the school but at the same time has no interest in joining them or trying to be part of their group either.
When Rich is out on the field he becomes a new creature. A focused, angry, and determined player. He’s still about as quite but becomes so involved in the game he is playing that everything else around him blacks out, this is what makes him such a top player and just a personality that’s grown on it’s own. He’s not a leader but not a follower either as he knows the importance of staying as a team.

Father: Richard Tyson (Passed away)
Sibling(s): None
Pets: Chaz, 6 year old pet Boxer. He feels it’s the only creature in the world that treats him right and loves him no matter what.
Other Family: Nobody significant. He has family and they all want to know him now that he’s a star but nobody actually wants to know HIM.
Nationality: American
Hometown: Brooklyn, New York
Overall History:
His father Richard was a deadbeat who played football in school but never got past anywhere else interesting in life during the 80ies. He joined the United States Marines Corps after seeing an ad that promised him adventure and making meaning out of his life. After going through training the first President Bush invaded Iraq and he was shipped there. His main duty was standing in one position for hours on end in a general office as people walked by him. It was dreadfully boring and he ended up accomplishing nothing in the end so his father became more frustrated with life. During his time back he married Peggy Paikin when he swept her off her feet with stories he made up about while he was in the war. He quit the marines after the war, turning to heavy drugs instead. He worked in a cheap security job. Years later his only son with born from his wife, Richie was born.
When Richie was born Richard’s stress grew greater as his mother pressured Richard to get a promotion for higher pay so they no longer had to be lower class and Richie wouldn’t join the gangs like the rest of the children had on their neighborhood. Richard told Richie that he wanted him to become something amazing, something great, and something far better then his father had ever been, even though Richie always looked up to Richard like a God as it was his father. Eventually because of the high stress, when Richie was 6 his father killed himself and his mother was forced to take a maid job in order to support the two of them on their own in low class Brooklyn. Still Richard, when alive, had always pushed Richie to play football, so his mother made sure that was all he worked on in his life. Running, being bigger then the other kids, learning how to catch a ball properly, joining outside school leagues, meeting scouts and talents. Richie hardly ever had free time to think for himself and had become a pushover easily.
The high class of Brooklyn had always been smart and knew where to invest their money. Richie they knew was a smart investment because he was an excellent ball player in the out of school varsity leagues. He won the most valuable player awards and had far more yards then any other wide receiver. As he gained more name the more the high class invested into him including offering him future sponsorships and inviting him to social parties where they paraded him around like some sort of trophy. Getting bullied as a pushover in school as he got to his teenage years he started to hate being paraded around but as soon as he tried to raise an objection his mother would quickly shut him up. Heading into high school a number of boarding schools offered him tremendous offers to play for their school but he took a stand for himself and rejected all of them, choosing instead to play for the high school all his friends were heading into. The rich investors though this was a smart move because he was more likely to get a scholarship to a rich university if he played for a well known high school instead of a boarding school that had everything handed to him on a silver platter. They didn’t understand he did it because he wants to live a normal life like everyone else. Now he’s started to head into his teenager rebel years and it could get worse the more the high class starts wanting him to do more. Still they’re not dumb and will catch on quickly.
Going to this school as raised his confidence a little because everyone treats him like a star. Still he doesn’t think being the first wide receiver to go on the first line, and be their best wide receiver on the team at that, means he deserves special attention and prefers to hang around people that don’t want to suck up to him. He mostly just wants to lead a private life but it seems everyone around him. Popular cliques, media, rich class, teachers, fans, want to do the exact opposite and it is starting to get him mad. On a plus side it’s even starting to give him a little attitude that is showing the confidence he never had before. He still had a long way to go from there though.

From a glee site I just posted on:
Puck was the first to arrive from the group of the Glee kids when it came time for all of them to poor in. He didn't want to be the first one, but he didn't want to be the last one either. As excited as they all were after winning at sectionals and then preforming the song "My Life Would Suck Without You" to Mr. Shue afterwords brought a lot of great and happy emotions from them, he knew that his presence currently seemed to suck that emotion out of people and in return he got mostly sour and angry looks from people as if he screwed everything up and destroyed the world around them. As much as he wanted to tell the majority of them to stick it where it belongs he couldn't because he knew it was true as well. After the performance Mr. Shue had told them each to bring a piece of work to preform the next day for rehearsal for the rest of them to hear.
That night he spent the majority of it sulking to himself while figuring out what he wanted to sing. There were a lot of songs he would have loved to do that he felt truly described his life. I'm So sexy, All Star, It's Good To Be King, You Shook Me All Night Long, but whenever he tried to practice any of those songs it seemed he lacked the total energy to preform them and without the energy came no passion. With no passion he knew he would look bad and he looked bad enough already so he knew he had to look a new direction that night for a song. Doing some online soul searching he found one song that seemed to online his feelings perfectly, spending the night mastering that song instead.
As he saw he was the first one while entering in with his guitar, he regretted coming so early because he knew everybody was going to enter in, give him that awkward mad stare and then go off and pretend nothing was wrong, so long as they knew they were mad at him, even if they had nothing to do with the situation. When he got in though he saw Mr. Shue preforming with the band a song he recognized and smiled. Putting the guitar strap around his neck and shoulder he started to play along. He did the figure picking that Paul McCartney did with the original version of the song when first preformed that went along with the background. Most were unaware of the constant finger picking in the song because it was not the main part but gave it a smooth background noise. When he started to play and go with the music he got so into it he was no longer nervous about being the first one and had completely forgotten about his situation.
When the chorus came up he knew Mr. Shue was playing the piano part to the vocals but sang along anyway just like the background performers will. He wasn't loud so it didn't overpower anything. "All you need is love... all you need is love.. love is all you need."
