Overall Personality: Gemma is extremely shy towards strangers,, but once she gets out of her shell you'd wish that she was still shy. She can be extremely crazy and fun when she wants to be, and shy and innocent when the time calls for it. She's over protective over her family especially after the Chicago incident. [see history] She lets music express her emotions, as most teenagers do. She gets angry very easily and is somewhat violent when angry. She gets jealous easily in a relationship, and will act on it without thinking. She usually jumps the gun on most things.
After what happened in Chicago,, Gemma and her family became somewhat closer. Gemma realized that every day could be her last, and that you should live your life to the fullest as much as you can.. Do daring things, laugh tons, love more, forgive often,, but never forget. The past is what makes you stronger... its your choice on how you let it affect you. You can be your past, or you can be stronger than your past.. And Gemma believes every bit of this.

Overall History: Gemma was born on October 13th. It wasn't a Friday, but she still had bad luck in her later years. The childhood was fine. Her dad was a firefighter for Chicago Fire Department, her mom a nurse for one of the hospitals, and her baby brother Jayden was cute as a button and kept her active once he got big enough to toddle around. They did everything together, soccer, art, piano/music lessons, etc. Gemma taught Jayden the most important thing, though, and that was to read.
Once Gemma got into middle school, things began to fall apart. Matthew [dad] was always at the station,, being home once and a while and then leaving as soon as a call went out [he was also on a volunteer department at the same time], leaving Elizabeth [mom] home with the children, or usually Gemma there with Jayden. Elizabeth got to where she did graveyard shifts at the hospital, so she was rarely home to help the kids with their homework. Or to keep them out of trouble.
Around Gemma's 16th birthday, she got involved with the wrong crowd. A girl named Sophie befriended Gemma. They became inseperable. Over the course of a few months, Gemma's grades dropped... she was never the smartest, but she was a B average student. Gemma began seeing Sophie's brother, Eric. Eric introduced the girls to pot, crack, and almost to meth. Gemma and Eric were at the wrong place at the wrong time. They were getting some cocaine from one of Eric's connections when a deal went bad. Guns got brought out, shots fired... Three people died. Eric, the connection, and an innocent bystander. Gemma and Sophie went to the hospital for injuries, Sophie's near fatal, and Gemma's minor.
Matthew and Elizabeth knew something was going wrong with Gemma, but didn't know what until a police officer came to their door. He told them that Gemma was involved in a shooting over drugs, and she was in the hospital that Elizabeth worked in. The truth always comes out somehow.
The Williams family decided they'd move to New York to be with Grandpa Jeff,, who has alzheimer's along with a few other things. They were hoping to make a new start.

She felt like she owed something to Sophie for losing Eric... Gemma felt it was her fault he was shot, her fault they were at the drug deal period.
