We live in a world where being a Mutant is looked down upon as being lower than criminals, where having a gift labels you a weapon and less-than-human, in a world where equal rights only apply to non-gifted 'normies'. Suspicion of powers has you instantly ceased by the government to be tested on, and that's only if you aren't murdered first. Not everyone is against Mutants, there are normies that believe freedom is an inherent right, not something you should have to fight for. They stand by some, but not everyone feels that way, and most people fear what they do not understand. It doesn't help that the government has trained people to fear us so that they have no resistance when mutants randomly go missing.

Not all of us want to fight, and not all of us feel like surviving by hiding amongst the population. We shouldn't have to. Some of us want to live in peace, and at the Oasis Institute you can. Normies and Mutants can live here together, in a place that the Government can't touch, a place where Governmental Laws do not apply, because we don't let them. Mutants do not have to be the victims, we can take control and refuse what the world has become. Normies and mutants alike are welcome here, in a community where you can simply live, even learn to control your powers, and feel a sense of normalcy.

The Oasis Institute is founded and run by Kaidan Waters, a Master Telepath prodigy that has faced experimentation, Governmental prosecution, and still retains a positive outlook on future Mutant-relations. His powers make the Government wary, enough so that they have not yet attempted to seize or locate the island that Oasis Institute is built upon. Even the fact that the resistance forces of Oasis Island leave to locate and help other Mutants goes without punishment. Anti-mutant protesters loathe this, and cause mayhem, but Oasis Island only continues to expand and help more mutants.

In this world which side will you choose? Are you a mutant just looking to live normally, or a normie that hates what things have become? Perhaps you're a mutant trapped and in need of help, or worse yet, one that has been brainwashed and is currently being used as a weapon of the Government? Whether a normie or mutant, government official or just a civilian, you have a choice to make. What will you do?
